Jess grew up in Edina, MN and attended the University of North Dakota where she studied Criminal Justice and Social Work. She battled her own addiction to alcohol for 6 years trying every option there was to better her life; moving from place to place, many odd jobs, and isolating herself from everyone. In April of 2005, Jess got sober with the help of an out-patient treatment facility, a half-way house, a sponsor, other sober women and a 12-step program.

Jess has been an employee at AIR since December of 2006 where she is responsible for providing solutions to families and organizations from around the country. Her inherent ability to reach out to others in a unique way, Jess has decided to go back to school in Minneapolis where she hopes to continue on the path of assisting people who are dealing with an addiction to find a solution. She will be working towards attaining her LADC (licensed alcohol and drug counselor) and then transferring to the University of Minnesota to get her BA in counseling.
