Matthew Wolmutt - Recovery Assistance Program Coordinator

Matthew Wolmutt has been working with
chemically dependent individuals for seven years.
Matthew graduated from Augsburg College with a BA
in psychology and began his professional career at
one of the nation’s premier adolescent treatment
centers, the Hazelden Center for Youth and Families
(HCYF), in Plymouth, Minnesota.
At HCYF Matthew worked as a chemical
dependency technician helping adolescents to come
to terms with the often
troubling reality of being young and chemically dependant.
While working at HCYF, Matthew went on to earn a
master’s degree in clinical social work at
the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
While at St. Thomas, Matthew interned
for several nonprofit agencies as a practicing social
worker
honing his skills with individuals struggling with
chronic relapse and mental illness. After completing
his graduate degree Matthew took a job with PRIDE
Institute, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the first
GLBT inpatient chemical dependency treatment center
in
the United States.
Matthew brings an extensive education
in social work and a breadth of professional experience
working
with both chemically dependant individuals and
the
mentally ill to his new position at AIR.
