Monica Bracht, BA, MFA, LADAC (Las Cruces, NM) - Director of Eating Disorder
Services

Monica holds a BA degree in Psychology/Literature,
an MFA and is currently working on her Master of
Social Work degree (MSW). She is a Licensed Alcohol
and Drug Counselor and a Member of NAADAC. She has
over fourteen years of experience in the field of
Addictions and Recovery, with special emphasis in
the area of Eating Disorders. She has several years
of direct experience working with eating disorder
families providing consultation and intervention
services. She has authored articles and presented
on the use of interventions with eating disorders
and developed AIR’s eating disorder services
based on a Family Empowerment Model. Prior to her
work with AIR, she was employed as a Chemical Dependency
Specialist for Hazelden Institute, a nationally renowned
chemical dependency treatment and research center.
At Hazelden she provided individual, group and family
counseling for chemically dependent and dual diagnosis
patients in a multidisciplinary inpatient/extended
care treatment setting. Her work with AIR has spanned
the continuum of Intervention, Consultation, Case
Management and Program Development. She demonstrates
high regard for ethical standards, confidentiality
and respect for individuals and families struggling
with the impact of addiction, mental and behavioral
health concerns.
